I am getting extraneaous characters appearing at the end of date fields when I connect and do a query from PHP3.

-------begin copy of results------

Mar 19 1972 12:00:00:000AM
Mar 14 1974 12:00:00:000AM
Dec 24 1995 12:00:00:000AMn
Feb 4 1998 12:00:00:000AM
Jun 4 1945 12:00:00:000AMl

-------end copy of results--------

Note the 'n' and the 'l' after the AM in the dates. This is sometimes non-ascii characters also. Those rows were not included in the sample because I wasn't sure if the characters would show up properly for you. This seems to only occur with dates and only ever seems to be one character.

-------begin Sample Script--------
<?
if ($sybcon=sybase_connect('host','username','password')){
        sybase_select_db('database',$sybcon);
        $result=sybase_query("select DateField from Table",$sybcon);
        while ($row = sybase_fetch_array($result)){
                echo $row[DateField],'<BR>';
        }
}
?>
-------end Sample Script------------

configure options:
--with-sybase=/path/to/sybase --with-apache=/path/to/apache

I am using a generic php3.ini (the stock one in the distribution)

I am using the Sybase ASE 11.0.3.3 for Linux, Apache/SSL 1.3.3 and PHP 3.0.5
