hello. Ia'm a new user of PHP and mysql on it. we are having in INTRANET on LINUX . This is supporting the PHP3 but now i installed the MYSQL on the same for my database connectivity. I made a programme to make query from database then on doing so I a'm getting FATAL ERROR : Call to Unsupported or undefind function : mysql_connect() on line 2. I am having a book on PHP4 as per that to fix this bug I h've to modify PHP.INI file and there in MYSQL section uncomment the "php_mysql.dll" line. In my system I don't have any line like this. so i added that line and reload the system then also i a'm getting the same error. KINDLY guide me in detail so that i'll be able to use this powerful combination in my application. Thanks. VISHWAMATHAN... PatchesPull RequestsHistoryAllCommentsChangesGit/SVN commits

you have to have mysql support enabled in your php installation see the installation chapter in the manual http://php.net/manual/installation.php and, by the way, this is not a bug questions like theese should go to the php-general mailing list instead
