I have one problem I need to resolve which I could not find documented on your site or at apache.org.

I receive a warning when loading libphp4.so as a DSO module.

apachectl configtest
[warn] Loaded DSO modules/libphp4.so uses plain Apache 1.3 API, this module might crash under EAPI! (please recompile it with -DEAPI)
Syntax OK

Where is the correct file location or what is the correct command line to recompile php-4.0.3 with the -DEAPI directive?

Thanks for your help

You probably installed mod_ssl after compiling PHP. Or you installed mod_ssl without installing the new apxs. When you build PHP as a DSO using --with-apxs, PHP asks apxs which compiler flags to use. On a properly installed Apache server your apxs script should be telling PHP to use -DEAPI. In your case your installed binary is compiled against EAPI, but at the time you compiled PHP your apxs script did not have the -DEAPI flag in it.
