Description:
------------
according to http://php.net/manual/en/function.mime-content-type.php , mime_content_type() is deprecated, but it doesn't say when it was deprecated,

and when testing on 3v4l.org , seems it never throws a E_DEPRECATED or similar,
and a guy on freenode #php said:

<salathe> hanshenrik__: the deprecation message is a hangover from the old mime_magic extension that the function used to be in, before Fileinfo came along

thus i wonder, is it really deprecated? and when, if ever, was it deprecated? could we get some more documentation here?

Test script:
---------------
<?php
error_reporting(~0);
ini_set("display_erronrs","on");
var_dump(mime_content_type(__FILE__));
