In my project i try to generate some string with a la of special char ...
when my code crash randomly i try use var_dump ...
and var_dump crash O_o !!!!


Test script:

var_dump("<?");

or 

str_shuffle("<?");

Expected result:
----------------
var_dump();
--------------
string(2) "<?"

str_shuffle();
--------------
<? or ?> 

Actual result:
--------------
var_dump();
--------------
string(2) "

str_shuffle();

no output

Thank you for this bug report. To properly diagnose the problem, we
need a short but complete example script to be able to reproduce
this bug ourselves. 

A proper reproducing script starts with <?php and ends with ?>,
is max. 10-20 lines long and does not require any external 
resources such as databases, etc. If the script requires a 
database to demonstrate the issue, please make sure it creates 
all necessary tables, stored procedures etc.

Please avoid embedding huge scripts into the report.

The code you've given works fine on its own. Since both of those strings have a < in common, if you're outputting the results to check that they work then you need to be looking at the HTML source of the page and not what your browser is showing you.
