perhaps because the 4.0.2 version's "msvcrt.dll" version is higher than 4.0.1pl2's or the other below version's,
you can not post a form's data to a PHP page.
on the 4.0.1pl2 or the other below version ,
the msvcrt.dll's version is same with windows's .

does turning on register_globals (in php.ini) solve your problem?
