In libcurl 7.18.0 a couple of new proxy types were added:

CURLPROXY_SOCKS4A (== 6)
CURLPROXY_SOCKS5_HOSTNAME (== 7)

I think they should be defined in PHP as well.

in the latest released version of PHP, which you can download at 
http://www.php.net/downloads.php
