if func cant find pattern in string what value should be in output.
developher shold be warned.

Function returned array with single element that contains original string.

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

if this things fixed, then other function should be fixed to, like str_split, 
explode, preg_split, etc.
