The function definition is as follows:

public bool streamWrapper::stream_metadata ( int $path , int $option , int $var )

Seems like it should instead be this:

public bool streamWrapper::stream_metadata ( string $path , int $option , mixed 
$var )

Also, in the detailed list of parameters it's listed not as $var but as $arg1.

online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
