Every now and then (can't reproduce) PHP4/Apache 1.3.12 sends contents of a file (don't know which) before the script output. At least once it was a GIF since I could see the image header.

What it looks like is random characters for about 15 rows before the script output. THe script itself works just fine including MySQL connections which are ok. The extra data is sent between the headers and the script output, content-type is still text/html.

This never happened with 3.0.15, so I assume it's 4.x.

Frequency? Ummm, about once / week for me, don't know about other users using the same site. It's not Netscape since I've gotten the extra data with Links too.

Seeing that form.php's source (copy it to form.phps?)
would be very helpful.

And of course your configure line for php.

Please verify that it?s still happening using the latest
version of PHP (release 4.0.2 or CVS).

I'm not sure but I'm beginning to belive that it's the forced proxy of my ISP acting up. Especially since I haven't gotten any complaints from the other people running the site (and they complain about everything).

Anyway, I'll compile the new PHP 4.0.2 to see what happens.

What's the situation with this? Still happening?
Is it the proxy?

Haven't seen it in a while, but that might be because I haven't been doing a thousand pageloads per day anymore. More like a dozen.

I saw the bug ONCE with another site, which leads me to believe it was the transparent proxy. That's against the 100 or so cases with my site.

Anyway, I'd say the case is closed.
