Description:
------------
I can't fix bugs very quickly if I have to manually convert the stupid templates in pearweb/templates to use regular open tags. short_open_tags=on is not an option on my devel server, as the main website I need to debug uses a fair amount of xml as well as html.

In any case, it's impeding my chances of fixing the stupid releases bug, as I only have 15 free minutes in which to do it.

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

In case this was a documentation problem, the fix will show up at the
end of next Sunday (CET) on pear.php.net.

In case this was a pear.php.net website problem, the change will show
up on the website in short time.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make PEAR better.
