The file "ext/domxml/php_domxml.h" assumes that "parser.h" is under "libxml", whereas it often lives under /usr/include/gnome-xml.  I can find no way to specify this directory in the configure script.

libxml version >= 2.0 is required. You have older version.

The version check is fixed in CVS.
