Migrating to a new webserver (from WinXP to Server 2008); Everything was running fine on the old one, but now whenever Apache tries to start and load PHP, it crashes.  If I comment-out the PHP sections of Apache's "http.conf", it will start fine.

Expected result:

Please do not submit the same bug more than once. An existing
bug report already describes this very problem. Even if you feel
that your issue is somewhat different, the resolution is likely
to be the same.

The only other submission I see is this one:

...which isn't solved either.  None of the potential solutions presented there work for me.  It's marked as "Bogus", which (given the 17/17 reproduction rate) it's clearly not.

Something is wrong here.  Please, help us fix it.
