When running 2 batch scripts simultaneously, getting weird errors like:
Fatal error: Call to undefined function substr() in xxx.php on line 125

The problem is obviously not related to the source code as it happens with built-in functions.

It also happens with custom class functions sometimes.

The problem doesn't seem to exist when a single php process is running.

Unfortunately the problem is not reproductible intentionnally.  The exact same code and conditions will sometimes work and other times fail.

How do you run these scripts? From the command line or from the browser?

Thank you for this bug report. To properly diagnose the problem, we
need a short but complete example script to be able to reproduce
this bug ourselves. 

A proper reproducing script starts with <?php and ends with ?>,
is max. 10-20 lines long and does not require any external 
resources such as databases, etc. If the script requires a 
database to demonstrate the issue, please make sure it creates 
all necessary tables, stored procedures etc.

Please avoid embedding huge scripts into the report.

After reinstalling a bunch of components to find the cause of this weird issue, I upgraded my kernel and it fixed it.

I unfortunately don't know the reason behind but at least it works well now.
