Description:
------------
if the host is unavailable then warning message is generated. documentation is silent about this behavior and function should return false, not false and generate warning. and making function silent by 'at' (@) is not what i have in mind.
thank you.

Reproduce code:
---------------
you can use demo code in documentation.

Expected result:
----------------
return false or an exception. do not generate warning message.

Actual result:
--------------
Warning: fsockopen() [function.fsockopen]: unable to connect to AA.BB.CC.DD:XY (Connection timed out) in /foo/bar/path.php on line 1234;

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.
