i have compiled php(all versions including cvs) with --with-ibm-db2 option and with apache. 
every access on the page would steadily increase the memory usage of httpd and it wouldn't release it. I have even tried with unixodbc..but the same problem occurs...
i have tried lots of options including compiling with db2 support alone and this problem is definitely reproduceble in my machine..
it has been happening in last few versions of php3 and php4..any ideas?

Please try PHP 4 Release. If db2 still leaks, please report
at what rate this happens. Also try odbc_connect() instead
of odbc_pconnect(). The call to odbc_close() can be ommitted,
since the connection is closed on request end anyway if you
use odbc_connect().
