Red Hat Linux, latest CVS :

rwxr-xr-x : is_executable() returns 1 : OK.
rw-r--r-- : is_executable() returns 1 : WRONG.

seems that i was to much in a 'root can do everything'
mode when i tried to get the is_(readable|writable|executable)
functions being aware of user and group rights

root can right read and write anything and execute any
file that is at least executable for someone

the fix is in in a minute

PS: we will switch to access(2) system call to get this
right for other means of access control like ACLs to,
once and for all ...
(current version will work for plain unix and windows(?)
style only )

It still gives the wrong result with the current CVS (March 18, 15:46 GMT-1)
