I cant create a variable with minus/more operator.

Reproduce code:
---------------
<?

$a = '<my@email.com>';
$b = '<12345>';

print($a.'  -  '.$b);


?>


Expected result:
----------------
<my@email.com> - <12345>

Actual result:
--------------
- <12345>
