I compiled Apache 1.3.{9,11,12} with PHP3.0.15 configured with the following setup:

./configure --with-apxs=/usr/local/httpd/bin/apxs --with-solid --enable-track-vars --enable-versioning --with-xml

Apache starts up fine and php-pages seems to be working. But when I do a configtest in Apache, it dumps core after saying syntax is ok. Here's a backtrace of core:

Core was generated by `/u3/server/httpd-1.3.12/bin/httpd -t'.
Program terminated with signal 11, Segmentation Fault.

In Linux 2.2.13 (Intel) this setup is working without any problems. Also if I compile the Solaris-version without versioning everything is working properly.

We are sorry, but can not support PHP 3 related problems anymore.
Momentum is gathering for PHP 5, and we think supporting PHP 3 will
lead to a waste of resources which we want to put into getting PHP 5
ready. Ofcourse PHP 4 will will continue to be supported for the
forseeable future.
