When compiling with --with-sybase, I get the following:

sybase.c: In function `php_sybase_do_connect':
sybase.c:260: `list' undeclared (first use this function)
sybase.c:260: (Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
sybase.c:260: for each function it appears in.)
sybase.c:261: `plist' undeclared (first use this function)

Digging further I see that it is defined in version 3.0.12 in php.h as

#define INTERNAL_FUNCTION_PARAMETERS HashTable *ht, pval *return_value, HashTable *list, HashTable *plist

I do not see a similar entry in php.h in version 4.
So, is the define missing in version 4, or is there another mechanism to cope with this?

We are getting some weird version numbers here...
list and plist haven't been in sybase.c since
27 Feb 2000

see bonsai.php.net!
http://bonsai.php.net/bonsai/cvsview2.cgi?diff_mode=context&whitespace_mode=show&file=sybase.c&root=/local/repository&subdir=/php4/ext/sybase&command=DIFF_FRAMESET&rev1=1.22&rev2=1.23

Please try CVS or snapshot (http://snaps.php.net)

OK, I have tried with the following snap:

php4-200003130445

Now php compiles with sybase support, but ./php -i returns (last line):

<hr><a name="module_sybase"><h2>sybase</h2>
Segmentation Fault (core dumped)

So, now we have a slightly different problem. Any takers?

The best way to start is by opening a new bug. I will close this one, please open
another one.

Please read the "bug dos and don'ts" (http://bugs.php.net/bugs-dos-and-donts.php3)
and "how to generate a GDB backtrace" (http://bugs.php.net/bugs-generating-backtrace.php3)
before opening the new bug....thanks!
