Script:

<? if ($coursecode) {
     // do stuff if this variable is passed through
     // the file ....
   }
   else {
    // if it doesn't exist do this ...
   }
?>

When I run this, it works fine -- until after a few hours of uptime. One day it just started to start saying "Undefined variable coursecode in header.html". When I rebooted the server everything worked fine.

The server has been up for 30 days, so I figured maybe the uptime had something to do with it (although everything else is working fine). I might just install PHP 3.0.15 to compensate.

The fact that it cannot be reproduced on a given system doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

mikes@shafe.com:
Can you please let us know whether the bug still exists in more recent versions of PHP 4.0? The uptime shouldn't have anything to do with it, most probably.
