We are trying to compile apache_1.3.11 with php_3.0.14 with imap support. However everytime we do this, the apache configuration script gives errors:

FIrst we configure php
./configure --with-mysql --with-apache=../apache_1.3.11 -with-oracle=/home/oracle8 --enable-track-vars --with-gd=/usr/lib --with-imap=/usr

then we try to configure apache

./configure --sbindir=/usr/local/apache/bin --enable-module=ssl --prefix=/usr/local/apache --activate-module=src/modules/php3/libphp
3.a --enable-module=php3 --activate-module=src/modules/frontpage/mod_frontpage.o --enable-suexec --suexec-caller=www --suexec-uidmin
=99 --suexec-gidmin=99 --suexec-docroot=/home/httpd/htdocs --suexec-logfile=/var/log/cgisuexec.log --suexec-userdir=/home/httpd/htdo
cs --fpexec-uidmin=99 --fpexec-gidmin=99 --fpexec-fpuser=bin --fpexec-fpgroup=nobody --fpexec-logfile=/var/log/cgifpexec.log

We get various regular expression errors and configure aborts.

If we recompile without IMAP enabled in php, it configures fines. Any ideas.
