text including spaces placed in an input text control in HTML show the whole text.
text including spaces placed in an input text control in PHP does not show the whole text, only the first word up to the first space is displayed.


Reproduce code:

<?php
print ("<input type='text' value="any text" name='anytext'">);
?>

Expected result:
----------------
inside the text box:
any text

Actual result:
--------------
inside the text box:
any

Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PHP itself.  For a
list of more appropriate places to ask for help using PHP, please
visit http://www.php.net/support.php as this bug system is not the
appropriate forum for asking support questions.  Due to the volume
of reports we can not explain in detail here why your report is not

The support forum works just fine -- but I don't believe you've tried it, as I can't recall seeing this question posted to it.  Try asking on php-general@lists.php.net, where some of the people posting here also hang out.

And, by the way, the code you posted cannot possibly even produce HTML, as it contains parse errors.  When you post to php-general, it would be a good idea to cut-and-paste your actual code.
