PHP's printf does not support variable width/precision.

Compare that with "printf '%*s' 10 'foobar'" in a shell script.


Reproduce code:
---------------
<?php

$length = 10;

printf("%*s", $length, "foobar");
?>


Expected result:
----------------
    foobar

Actual result:
--------------
s
