There are assigments like this:

struct tm *X;
X = localtime_r(&a,&b);

But return type of localtime_r function is declared as int.
I replaced localtime_r(&a,&b) with localtime(&a) (&b was not used) and it seems it will work.

Similar problem appears in files:

ext/standard/parsedate.y
ext/standard/datetime.c
main.c

Please clarify:

On HPUX localtime_r is prototyped as

int localtime_r(const time_t *, struct tm *);

Correct?

If yes, we need to provide a wrapper on this OS.

This appears to be addressed in PHP 4.0.0.  If you're still experiencing problems - please submit a new bug report.
