http://php.net/msql_connect is wrong.  msql_connect() accepts 0 or 1 parameters.  See http://cvs.php.net/annotate.php/php-src/ext/msql/php_msql.c?rev=1.58#239 to confirm.

So, please remove the "username" and "password" parameters.

While y'all are at it, please incorporate the user note on that page regarding Unix sockets being used if the "hostname" parameter is not provided.

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
