I spent about 20 minutes looking for a certain function which I was sure existed, but I was looking in www.php.net/variables instead of http://us3.php.net/manual/en/ref.var.php.  It seems like there should be a reference from both of them, to the other, in the very first section - something like "If you're looking for functions that relate to variables go here" or "If you're looking for documentation about variables, go there".

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.
