with or without a path the --with-xml produces the following error when do-conf is run:

configure for XML support.... configure: error: cannot find XML include files

modules compiled with php that work:
gd
mysql
mcrypt
zlib
pdflib
sysvshm
sysvsem

Current PHP CVS (and 3.0.13 when we get it out) compiled against Apache-1.3.9 or later makes this work smoothly.
