If I run the following Script (Apache 1.3.29, mod_php):

?>

I get: Parse error: parse error in /path/to/php/script.php on line 2

Reproduce code:

$status-typ='hello';
?>

Expected result:
----------------
empty page

Actual result:
--------------
Parse error: parse error in /path/to/php/script.php on line 2
