1) getimagesize($path_to_jpeg); //works
2) getimagesize($URL_to_jpeg); //works
3) getimagesize($path_to_gif); //works
4) getimagesize($URL_to_gif); //fails 

Seems to loop, then times-out.  Was OK in 4.3.3

$ret = getimagesize ("http://static.php.net/www.php.net/images/php.gif");


Expected result:
----------------
$ret should return array of image sizes and image type.

Actual result:
--------------
Page times-out.  No error message printed.
