In the last several snapshots for PHP5 on win32 there has been no apache2 dll, and snaps.php.net says compiling keeps failing....

Edin, this works fine for me, can you check why there are such compile errors in the snaps build?

This bug has been fixed in CVS.

Snapshots of the sources are packaged every three hours; this change
will be in the next snapshot. You can grab the snapshot at
http://snaps.php.net/.
