Description:
------------
Howdy,

I have an RPM which I use on Cobalt RAQ machines.
I use almost the same SRPM for the RAQ3 as for the RAQ4. (few path modifications).

Now, 4.3.1 worked fine on both the RAQ3 and RAQ4, the 4.3.2 works fine on the RAQ4 only.

On a RAQ3, the RPM and libphp4.so will compile just fine, but, when I "/etc/rc.d/init.d/httpd restart" is says ok, but apache isn't running, ps aux doesn't show anything either..

So I try:
apxs -i libphp4.so
I get:

apxs:Error: Sorry, cannot determine bootstrap symbol name
apxs:Error: Please specify one with option `-n'

Does anyone have any clue?

This is not the place to ask for support.

Well maybe I am not asking for SUPPORT but am I reporting a bug since this is OBVIOUSLY a BUG REPORTING SYSTEM?

We do not support some 3rd party RPMs, only our tar.gz packages.

OK so tell me, why does 4.3.2 give this error, and 4.3.1 with the EXACT SAME configuration doesn't?

I've no idea what difference there might be between your RPMs.

Just a note,

this is an RPM using YOUR tar ball, but it just has the config line in it so I simple have to run "rpm -ba php.spec"

That is it. It uses YOUR tar ball

I'm only interested if you can prove the "./configure .. make .. make install" doesn't work.

 [2003-06-11 19:09 UTC] sniper@php.net
And NOT involving any RPM in this..
