I have a Palm Pilot V, running Palm OS v.3.1. I have download (from the php.net web site) and synchronised the "PHP Manual PalmPilot DOC File (404KB)" with my Palm Pilot. No error messages were generated during the synchronization process. However, the manual does NOT appear as an application on my Palm V. The only place I can find evidence that the documentation resides on my Palm is from the Applications/Info screen which tells me which applications are loaded and how much memory/storage they are using. I have contacted Palm support directly by phone, and after much scratching of heads their conclusion was that in the some way the file must have been written for a different/earlier version of the Palm OS. If this is the case, then a) it would be great if an updated version could be made available and b) until then a note should be placed alongside the download link from the php.net website stating that this manual will not work on a Palm V running Palm OS 3.1. Thanks.

Mike Robinson said the following:

The writer is mistaken to believe that the file is an application that runs
by itself. It is actually a Palm V _document_, which requires a document
reader application (ie. Teal-Doc, something like that.)

If he installs such an application, he could then access the PalmV PHP
manual. I've tried it and it works fine. There is no bug here.
