This script does not exit winword.exe process :

$word = new COM("word.application") or die("Unable ... ");
$word->Visible = 1;
$word->Documents->Add( $source );
$doc = $word->Documents[1];
$doc->Activate( );
$word->Release();
$word->Quit();
$word = null;

I'm using Apache/2.0.45.

Sorry, but your problem does not imply a bug in PHP itself. For a
list of more appropriate places to ask for help using PHP, please

appropriate forum for asking support questions.

Thank you for your interest in PHP.

ever wondered why release is called release and what you should *not* do after a release call ?
