So... I just added the search bar in IE5.5 and try it just once, but I saw something that could be named a bug...

I look for a function i.e extract()
I change the language to french (Sorry, I'm belgian, and I prefer having help in french... nobody's perfect)
I look for another function...
Language's back to english...

If domain is the same (Normally yes...) couldnt you use cookies to know what language is prefered?

CYA... Hope you'll answer soon...

We currently don't use anything to store *your* language preference. The site's language preference is honored, so if you use fr.php.net or fr2.php.net, etc. then the search bar will work with the french version of the manual... It would probably be a good idea to somehow honor the user's language preferences...

It does not work as you said...

On fr.php.net it gave me the english manual. doe it maybe take the navigator language??

Just an idea? why don't you only put a combo box with languages?? I saw a hidden field to do that... why not a combo instead?? You may give me the source of search bar to do it by myself, or I'll do my own, it's only HTML... ;-)

CYA...

Please leave this open (assigned). I would like to make some enhancements to the search bar as I have the time.
