the ./configure works fine
I used the --with-apxs --with-unixODBC
unixODBC is installed (in /usr/lib) and works fine.

when I start make I get the following error:

internal_functions.c:48: `phpext_odbc_ptr' undeclared here
(not in a function)

here's the result of the makefile

I tried installing with unixODBC-2.2.3 from source instead of the RPM version that came with suse8.0 and that didn't work either.

Tried the same thing with php 4.2.1 and that seems to work just fine.

4.2.1 -> 4.2.2 had ONLY one fix (the security exploit fixed) and didn't have any other changes. Check your sources..it's most likely something you're doing wrong/something wrong in your build environment.
