Today I have faced problems in interoperability with Java. To check that some document is not updated I use crc32() in PHP, and my coleague some crc transformation in Java. When I get below zero result he passes me number above 2^31. Using dechex() is workaround because he has to pass me Hex value of the crc32 and I to check them as strings. Is there any chance for second parameter RETURN_FLOAT=FALSE - to have no problems like this with the overflow of the signed ints.
This will change the return type to mixed.

Regards,
Andrey

Andrey said himself, that he doesn't need this feature anymore, as it's already well documented now.
