I'm using PHP shell script runned by crond with following first line:

#!/usr/bin/env php -q -d 'max_execution_time=0'

But sometimes it exceed execution timeout. Setting on commmand line -d 'max_execution_time=0' is completely ignored. It is due to quoting apostrophes. Without them, it works fine.

I expected that it will either print warning or error message, that 'max_execution_time is unknown INI option, or it will unquote arguments for PHP options on command line.

This is not a bug in PHP, it's just a limitation in your kernel(s) that more than one parameter on the she-bang line is not supported.
