Symptom: Can not send email.

phpinfo() reports:
SMTP = localhost (ini file is set: SMTP = mail.xxxxx.com)
sendmail_from = 'variable not set' (ini is admin@xxxxx.com)

Same settings on W98se with PWS work fine.

php.ini is in c:\winnt on NT 4.0 and c:\windows on W98se.

go to the windows search tool, and search for "php.ini" , and come back and tell us where it is.

This is a copy right off the PHPInfo report and yes I triple checked, FIND comes up with C:\WINNT as in the report.

Please try a snapshot from http://snaps.php.net/win32/php4-win32-latest.zip , it should help you narrowing down the problem because a lot has changed.
