When using "php3_error_log /somepath/php3_log" in the virtual host section of apache's httpd.conf, a
log file will not be created. Errors are written to the apache error log correctly.

Extract from httpd.conf:
 <VirtualHost eule1.n-e-t.de:80>
 ...
 AddType application/x-httpd-php3 .php3
 Php3_Safe_Mode on
 Php3_Log_Errors on
 Php3_Doc_Root /NET/www/eule1.n-e-t.de/doc
 Php3_Open_Basedir /ldsk/fs4/www/eule1.n-e-t.de/doc
 Php3_Error_Log /NET/www/eule1.n-e-t.de/logs/php3_log
 ...
 </VirtualHost>

Configured Modules:
 mysql, apache

There is no php.ini file in use.
