apache supplied with the OS, libiconv inslatted from a package (libiconv-1.7.tgz).
php configured with --with-iconv.

$ apachectl start
/usr/libexec/ld.so: Undefined symbol "_iconv_module_entry" in httpd:/usr/lib/apache/modules/libphp4.so

This is happening with me on Mac OS X.

Can't seem to track this one down. I haven't done anything 
out of the ordinary. I did have to manually add the -liconv 
line to the LDFLAGS.

I'm using 4.1.2 w/ apache 1.3.23.

Forgot to mention I'm using libiconv 1.7.

This was fixed in CVS just recently.  Please try a CVS checkout or an extremely recent snapshot.
