When compiling PHP 3.0.7 from tarball and RH 6.0 there is this message after configuring with DB support (ex MySQL) :
functions/db.c:93: ndbm.h: No such file or directory
make: *** [functions/db.o] Error 1

I had to type in /usr/include

ln -s db1/ndbm.h ndbm.h

in order to compile it.

But after that it worked great !!

PHP 3.0.8 will even support this configuration.
