I followed exactly the instruction given to compile mod_php3-3.0.5-1.src.rpm, to add mysql support.

Apache version 1.3.3
Mod_Perl enable

Compilation error as below :
language-scanner.lex: In function 'lex_scan':
language-scanner.lex:747: 'ERANGE undeclared (first use this function)
language-scanner.lex:747:(Each undeclared identifier is reported only once
language-scanner.lex:747:for each function it appears in.)

What is exactly the problem?

No idea, grab the current php-3.0.7 tarball and follow the instructions in the INSTALL.REDHAT file instead.
