When I join an array with implode() or join() and use
chr(13) . chr(10) (CrLf) as delimiter I get one empty line between each line, but if I don't use CrLf then I get everything on one line.

  $dataout = implode(chr(13) . chr(10), $dataarray);

Try using just \n for the delimiter.
