[2017-03-20 22:08 UTC] bugs dot php dot net_nospam at adviesenzo dot nl
Description:
------------
The last PHP 5.5 release, PHP 5.5.38 is not listed in the archive http://windows.php.net/downloads/releases/archives/ and can no longer be downloaded from the main download page http://windows.php.net/download/

This *could* mislead people into thinking that PHP 5.5.37 is the last release by which they would be missing out on security patches includes in PHP 5.5.38.

Test script:
---------------
N/A - visit the http://windows.php.net/downloads/releases/archives/ webpage & see for yourself.

Indeed, PHP 5.5.38 is still available on
<http://windows.php.net/downloads/releases/>, but that is hard to
find.

[21:21:59] <weltling> ah, nope, it's intentionally, because there are still some traffic on that versions, still makes sense to not to move into the archive

That sounds like a cop out and disregards completely that this is misleading people.

There is no link to the release page you mention anywhere on the http://windows.php.net/ site, so how would people find this page ?

On site, there are three typical links people will use to find a version:
* "Downloads" in the main menu at the top - which does not list PHP 5.5 anymore (rightfully so).
* "Q&A releases" in the main menu at the top - where it doesn't belong
* And - if people search hard enough -, the "release archive" as linked to from the last block in the left side bar

None of these three let you find PHP 5.5.38.

I agree its misleading, but then again PHP 5.5 is no longer supported
