Description:

Hi,

on the page: http://de3.php.net/manual/de/install.windows.building.php you advice to download some extra libraries to build PHP on Windows.

E.g. http://www.php.net/extra/win32build.zip

The download does not work, I guess it's a forgotten rewrite rule or something like that.

regards
  Ruben

Expected result:

Guess that page should be removed as apparently the windows docs are now maintained in a wiki; http://wiki.php.net/internals/windows/stepbystepbuild

The build page on the wiki also mentions the need for a php-sdk, with
files like bison.simple however i cannot see any links to download
this sdk, i've had a hunt around the wiki and cannot see any links
for this resource.

Thanks for the info,

but I really think this should be fixed both in the PHP-Docs page and in the wiki. I've spent more than 2 hours trying to find those files.

Ciao :-)

I've added a link in the wiki just underneath the SDK links.

This bug is not closed because these docs:

 - have broken links
 - have no reference to the wiki
 - have no reference to binary-tools.zip (should it?)

And people mention that the wiki is also incomplete although this bug
does not deal with that.

I removed most of the documentation and instead refer to an external
guide and the Windows wiki. However, this bug is not closed until the
documentation is rewritten to reflect current practices.

Another source (especially considering the author ;)

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.

Re-opened for now, I'm going to do abit of re-order of the general structure on this one.
