Description:
------------
I have the same problem as it was described in bug #31398 and #38245.

I.e. if file name is test1'test2.txt the first part of the filename including the apostrophe is cut off so it
shows as: test2.txt

php version is 4.4.4.
Also I tried to install the latest version from cvs (4.4.5 dev).But this bug still exist.

Please tell me what I must to do to fix this problem.

Reproduce code:
---------------
<?php print_r($_FILES); ?>

<form action="2.php" method="post" enctype="multipart/form-data">
<p>File:
<input type="file" name="newfile" />
<input type="submit" value="Send" />
</p>
</form>

Expected result:
----------------
The full name of the file uploaded including the apostrophe.

Actual result:
--------------
The first part of the filename is cut off including the apostrophe.

Thanks, but my web site use php version 4.

Is this bug fixed for php version 4?
 [2006-11-23 10:32 UTC] tony2001@php.net
I don't think so.
PHP4 is in maintainance state and only critical/security problems are fixed there. This is neither critical nor security related.

So as I understand it is not possible to fix this bug in php version 4.
And we need to move to php version 5, recheck/retest/rewrite all php scripts?
Maybe there is another way?

Thanks for understanding.

If you manage to find the patch for it (from either HEAD or PHP_5_2), we can have a look at it.

Okay, I understand your point.
I'll discuss with my chief about this way.

Thanks.
