Apache server 1.3.1 and 1.3.2 failed to produce more than 3k of output when the apache server was compiled with PHP 3.0.4 version. PHP v3.0.3 worked fine.

Clients are getting SIGTERM (sig 15) from Apache with PHP 3.0.4 version.

This was also due to the bogus -lpthread.
-lpthread will be removed in 3.0.5
