The full text search works for me. Did you "unblock" the
downloaded php_manual_zh.chm? (for details see the note above the
download links)

The full text search works ok for my friend in Mac OS, but it does not works for me in Windows 10 OS.
I can't search anything, and I have unblocked the file.
Please check it in Windows 10 OS.

Is this still unresolved with latest CHM docs?
[2021-08-18 12:42 UTC] admin at yangdx dot com
This bug still exists.
Please fix it.

I have just downloaded php_manual_zh.chm (built on 2021-08-13),
and the fulltext search works for me (Windows 10 21H1). Or is
this about php_enhanced_zh.chm? Which search term doesn't work
for you (just give an example)?

I made a screenshot:

Thanks for the screenshot! Exactly this works for me. I can only
imagine that it is a codepage related issue; the CHM is supposed
to use CP 936[1] which may not be compatible with your system?

这个问题很早就存在了,php 5.6开始,.chm文件不能全文搜索,bug到目前一直存在

This problem has existed for a very long time, since php 5.6,.chm files cannot be searched in full text, and the bug has persisted until now

This problem has always existed. At first, I thought it was a problem of my operating system. After win7,win8,win10, and now win11, the problem is still there
