Documentation for session_write_close() states that it returns boolean value but according to this this statement is true only for version >= 7.2. For earlier versions this function returns nothing. I assume reference to return value should specify that earlier versions don't return anything and that boolean return value is available for versions 7.2 and higher.

Test script:
// for php versions before 7.2
$result = session_write_close();

Expected result:
<script_name>:<line>:boolean true

Actual result:

Sorry, it's only in UPGRADING. I'm not sure why it's not properly documented.

Adding respective changelog entries, as usual, should be sufficient.

This bug has been fixed in the documentation's XML sources. Since the
online and downloadable versions of the documentation need some time
to get updated, we would like to ask you to be a bit patient.

Thank you for the report, and for helping us make our documentation better.
